JUNIOR GENERAL CAMP (*JK,SK AND GR. 1)

This is a full day, outdoor, very active program. Campers must be entering *JK, SK or Grade 1 to qualify for this program and must be at least 4 years of age.
Who is this program for?
Junior General Camp is suitable for campers who are entering *JK on sessions 1, 5, 6, 9, and 10 only, SK or Grade 1 in the fall. During our sessions that welcome campers entering JK please note that all campers must be 4 years of age at the time of the program they are registered for.
Junior Camp is a wonderful recreational skill building program for campers in this age group. This program has a smaller number of campers than our General Camp, and includes the kinds of activities we know that they will love! Jr camp will have some aquatic fun on our waterslides, and sprinklers, and they will have some fun time in the shallow area of our beach! Aquatic activities are scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays – however – we ask that you send swim gear every day.
Junior General Camp provides a smaller ratio of care, smooth transitions, a supportive environment with lots of TLC, assistance with the basics like keeping track of belongings, and help with making connections with fellow campers.
Junior General Camp is perfect for campers from this age bracket who LOVE being outdoors and active. This is a very active full day recreational program. What is this program about?
Kids Inc Camp is all about creating memories for our campers, camp families, and staff that can last a lifetime! We hope to inspire life-long activity, respect for the environment, love of recreation and fun, and relationships that will last a lifetime.
This program is 100% outdoors. We have sheltered areas that provide rain shelter and shade – however – your camper must be dressed for the weather each and every day.
Junior General Camp includes: Crafts, puppets, story time, sports and movement based activity time, free play time, creative play, music, yoga, nature, forest games and more!
We have theme based activities, structured activity periods, and we also provide play based child led discovery periods. The balance of structure and discovery is sure to please every Jr General Camper!
We include water based activities such as sprinklers, waterslides, water play and a chance to use the shallow are of the pond and enjoy some beach free play. We will provide life jackets when they are required so no need to send one of your own. Please send your camper with sunscreen and bug spray already applied and pack a lunch and snacks each day. The vision for Kids Inc Camp is to bring all of the ideas, activities, programs, attitudes, staff atmospheres, and camp traditions of a typical overnight camp experience into the day camp environment.
We have planned the Junior General Camp Program according to the developmental needs of the children who attend and we are excited to watch your child bloom at camp! Curiosity, learning, adventure, friendship, and fun are all a part of the plan here at camp. Camp is a safe place to try new things, challenge ourselves, learn through outdoor play and grow.
