STARTING 2018 - MINI CAMP WILL BE FOR CAMPERS ENTERING SK AND GRADE 1 ONLY.
Mini Camp is suitable for campers who are finished JK and who are registering for either SK or Grade 1 in the fall. Some parents of 6 year old campers enjoy keeping their camper in Mini Camp even if they are moving into Grade 1 in the fall. If your camper is the kind of camper who loves the smaller ratio of care, and the Mini Camp program it might be something to consider. All campers who are entering SK will register for Mini Camp upon registration. Campers who are entering Grade 1 will have the choice of Mini Camp or General Camp. If you have questions about Mini Camp vs. General Camp and your camper is entering Grade 1 this fall please email us and we are happy to help you choose the program that is best for your camper. email@example.com
Mini Camp provides children in their 5th year and older with stimulating programs all day long! Some of the activities our Mini Campers enjoy participating in each week include: weekly Friday theme day, nature activities, mini sports, arts and crafts, swimming, story time, playground games, drama, music, puppets, yoga, fitness fun, group challenges and many more!
Staff Ratio: We are proud to provide a 5:1 Mini Camper-to-staff ratio in order to ensure your child is safe, secure, and receives the attention required within the context of a recreational camp program for children of this age group.
Aquatics: Mini Campers will be provided with life jackets that will be worn at all times while in the pool or pond area. We ask that you do not send your child with other flotation devices as they will not be accepted as substitutions. While in the pool, Mini Campers will be supervised by Mini Camp staff as well as Certified Lifeguard staff.
Sun and Bug Protection: Please apply sunscreen and bug spray every day prior to arriving at camp. Our staff is vigilant about helping your kids reapply during the day. So be sure to pack sunscreen (preferably spray-on,) and bug spray for your children everyday.
For more information about our safety policies, please download the Parents Handbook from the Forms and Documents page.
Important notes about Safety and Registration: It is imperative that you read our code of conduct that is located in the Parents Handbook and read the contents of the entire Parents Handbook prior to registration. The reason for the importance of this especially in our Mini Camp program is to assess if your child is an appropriate fit for our outdoor recreational summer camp program. If at any time during their attendance in our program we feel that they are not an appropriate fit for our program in a way that is compromising to their own health and safety or the safety of our staff or the Mini Camp group we will be in touch to organize a partial refund to you at that time. Examples include but are not limited to the following issues: Running away, extreme temper tantrums, bathroom issues that would require one of one support, requirement for daily naps, inability to eat/drink throughout the camp day, extreme difficulty with communication, aggression towards others. Of course some of these situations may be able to be mitigated with the help and support of a one to one support worker. In a case where these behaviours can be managed with support please do be sure to register prior to MARCH 1st of the year in question and denote that support is required. There is a fee associated with this service that can be discussed at that time. Please see the Support Page of this web site for more information about this. We like to make this clear prior to registration - so - please do read the handbook and call or email us if you feel that we may need to discuss this topic any further. Thank you.
We try to keep your children outdoors whenever possible. Our facility includes a picnic shelter, shaded forest area, and Mini Camp shelter that are used for many activities. We also have an indoor space that is only used when weather conditions are too extreme to stay outside.

Our age range for this program has changed. Please note that your camper must be in their 5th year or older to register for this program.
This is a full day, outdoor, very active program. Campers may only be registered if they have completed JK. Please contact us for more information if you have questions about this point.
*There are no buddy requests in Mini Camp. The Mini Campers will be together as a group during the majority of the day each and every day - therefore - buddy requests are not required.
You can find the Parents Handbook, Registration Package, and more on our Forms and Documents page.
